Admission to Primary School September 2019

Any child whose 4th birthday falls on or before 1st July 2019 is due to start school in September 2019. Admission forms will be online this year. Parents will have the opportunity to complete their online application from Wednesday 2nd January until midnight on Thursday 31st January 2019. We will also need you to complete a data collection form in school which can be collected on the same date. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you need any further information or assistance.

Christmas Presents

Christmas will soon be with us all! Parents/Guardians

often generously give presents to teachers/assistants at Christmas. Over the last few years we suggested that you give a small donation to charity instead which has been a great success! In the same way rather than your children giving and writing lots of Christmas cards for their friends they could give a small donation to charity in their classes and sign a large Christmas card instead. No one is under any obligation to do any of the above. The charity we are supporting this year is the Northern Ireland Hospice.

Christmas Fair Thursday 29th November

Tonight is the night! Do come along this evening from 7-9pm to our Christmas Fair. £3 for adults, £2 for senior citizens, including supper. Correct change would be appreciated. Lots to see and buy! Craft tables, visit Santa and let your young ones do their Christmas shopping! While all that is going on you can enjoy a cup of tea and a homemade mince pie! Lots of raffle prizes also! Please remember to bring small change for spending and reusable bags to carry your purchases home!

Christmas Jumper Day

Christmas Jumper Day is Wednesday 19th December!  We would like everyone (staff included) to wear a Christmas jumper to school and donate a £1. This is an easy and fun way for the

children to help their school. Please do not go out and buy a Christmas jumper! You can decorate any jumper with tinsel or baubles making a unique and fun jumper for your child to wear!

School Buses

We would ask that all children travelling to and from school on the school buses wear their seatbelts at all times. This is extremely important for the safety of everyone on the bus.

All the staff at Kilkeel  Primary would like to wish you a very happy Christmas and New Year!

Mrs H McCabe
