Green Flag application

We recently submitted our application to achieve our Eco Green Flag. Over the past few years we have worked extremely hard to reach the required high standard.  The assessment date has not yet been confirmed but will probably be at the end of May.

To help with our application:-

  • Please support Get Moving in May by walking, even part of the journey to school.
  • Also support the official Walk to School Week- Monday 20th to Friday 31st May.
  • Remember to send a healthy break and a refillable bottle of water daily.

Play-ground games and Skip-a-thon

Soon the pupils will be asking parents, grandparents and other family members about the types of games they played when they were at school. The School Council and Eco-Committee hope to run a Skip-a-thon in June. With a little help we can encourage the pupils to become more interested in old fashioned games and especially skipping. Our sponsored events have been very successful over the past few years and we look forward to your continued support.

Thank-you The Eco Committee

Record of Achievement

P7 Record of Achievements will be held on 26th June @ 2.15pm in the Assembly Hall. All parents will be made very welcome. There will be light refreshments served.

All children in P1-P6 will go home at 2.05pm

⇒ If you think you might be entitled to Free School Meals or a Bus Pass please call into the General Office for a form or download one from the

Mrs McCabe and all the Staff at Kilkeel Primary School would like to wish everyone a very relaxed and peaceful summer holiday!

Thank you all for your continued support throughout the school year, especially our Open Day,

Christmas Fair, Christmas Carol Service, Sports Day and Swimming Gala! We really appreciate all your help along with the help of our PTA for funds raised through different events throughout the year.

We would also like to wish our Primary 7 classes all the very best in the next step in their education as they move on the Secondary School!

See you all on the 2nd September!
