Update
In consultation with the Chair of Governors, staffing concerns and lack of uptake from key workers, I can now confirm that Kilkeel Primary School is closed until further notice.
However, in order to provide a last resort service for any of our front line parents, if you do need use of a supervision service in the weeks that lie ahead, please express your need by completing the contact form on the school web site. Please submit the contact form by Thursday of each week for the week ahead. This will allow time to ensure that the appropriate level of cover and cleaning services are in place. Please be mindful that at this point I am unable to guarantee that this facility will be available due to the fast changing position that we are all in.
In the meantime, can I express my personal thank you to all of the staff for the extra planning and preparation that was put in at very short notice to ensure that our pupils would have some form of work and electronic communication available with their teacher during this enforced closure. Thank you also to you – parents, guardians and pupils – for entering into the spirit of this new and exciting learning curve of remote learning.
